yakkity yak, don't talk back....

It's a beautiful Sunday morning...the sun
is just waking up and so am I.....I meander to
Peets for my weekend cup of java....smiling with
half closed eyes at passers-by....I sit with my back
to the world so as not to be disturbed....hazily
perusing Boondocks in the Sunday Comix.....
when the person sitting next to me says,
"I see you read the comic section first. I prefer
the travel section myself. I love to travel. My last
trip was to China. Do you like Chinese food?"

(but before I can answer, he just keeps on yakin')

"Some of my best friends are Chinese.... Which
remindes me of a funny story...did you ever hear
the one about the one thing that did something
really funnly to the other thing and that thing
was thingy wumpty pooty, blah, blah, blah, yadda
yadda yadda, yakkity yak, yakkity yak."

You get the picture dont'cha?

WHY do people feel they can just walk up to you
and start a conversation? Or worse yet, a
monologue....the never ending monotonous
monologue...Miss Manners, WHERE ARE YOU?

Or maybe I should be calling on David Copperfield....
Hey...if he can make the Statue of Liberty dissappear,
than he can certainly wave his little wand thingy or
whatever it is, to zap these Verbal Terrorists
to another dimension.

Or is that too Republican?

Somewhere Over the Rainbow...

Sorry!
I've been M.I.A. for quite a while.
That's the reason there haven't been
any new posts lately.
Feels like I've been sequestered in kansas.
Flat...brown...grey...dull...kansas.
At least that's how my brain has felt.
But I think I'm beginning to see some color...
yes...just over the rainbow....reds!...blues!...
yellows!...and maybe even a little peuce.
I'm moving out of the dulldrums state and
into the land of the living.

Thanks to my friends for keeping me afloat.
And a special thanks to my honey for
floating my boat.

Now...the futures' so bright....I just may
have to wear shades.
