"Those schoolgirl days of telling tales and biting nails are gone, but in my mind I know they will still live on and on." Lulu

So I'm thinking about going back to school...
who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks...

I'm leaning toward Recreation Therapy...you know,
helping children, the elderly, the disabled...
but here's the thing...

I visit the campus of San Fran State and
get a REAL glimpse of my possible classmates.
There is a tiny voice in the back
of my head whispering loudly, saying...
"OH MY GOD...WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE,
WHEN DID YOU GET OLD?"

The good thing is I was so distracted by
the pain I sometimes get in my knee
that I didn't hear the rude little bugger.

Then...I go to the Office of Recreation
and Leisure and it's closed...there is a
small yellow note on the door, held there
with a push pin...it reads, "Be back in
a few moments"...so I wait...and wait...
and wait and well you get the idea.
Now the tiny voice is trying to convince me
I should leave my own note on the door reading,
"Boy, you guys take this Recreation and Leisure
idea VERY seriously"...but I didn't.

What a Dump!!

Oh Bette...you are so right.

I recently had a colonoscopy operation.
For those uninformed few...that's where
they run a index finger sized tube thru
your colon in search of abnormalities.
To paraphrase StarTrek, they went where
few men have gone before.
My partner Buubie was a pilar of strength
and kept me in good humor thru a few
days of anxiety.
It turned out to be a safe, painless
proceedure...So if you find yourself
sitting around the house and looking
for something to occupy your time,
I highly reccommend a colonoscopy.
Don't be the last on your block
to get one.

We Don't Need Another Hero...

except Batman is no ordinary hero.

These days I pick the films I'll pay
ten bucks for VERY carefully....the new
Batman movie is worth every penny.
It doesn't have the warm and fuzzy feeling
of Spiderman but Christian Bale looks
way more SUPER out of costume than
Tobey Maquire.
If you like DARK...and who doesn't,
then you'll love this dark and
moody film...but be warned...
Once you go Bat, you'll never go back.
